An Italian side Diatec Trentino scored a straight-set win against Arkas İzmir from Turkey, partially 25-22, 26-24, 25-17, to continue their battle with Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle for the top spot in Pool E. It was Trentino’s first home success in the tournament after 672 days.

Despite having a chance to prevail in the second set as they had 16-14 on the second TTO, Arkas signed own death warrant tonight by making only 29% positive reception.

Luca Vettori led Trentino with 19 points (78% excellent attack, 3 kill blocks). The Cuban Michael Sánchez Bozhulev scored 14 for Arkas.
