UPCN surpassed leaders in the standings Lomas on Weekend 9 of Liga Argentina de Vóleibol Banco Nación by a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-20) to climb to the spot No.2. Lomas remained at the top, but the difference between these two sides is four points only (33-29). The Pole Zbigniew Bartman led UPCN to the big away win with 18 points. The Brazilian Jonadabe Santos “Jô” scored 12 points for Lomas.
By beating PSM Vóley 3-1 at home, the defending champs Personal Bolívar achieved their fifth consecutive win but did not change their placement in the standings – they remained fourth. The Bulgarian Rozalin Penchev from Bolívar was the most prominent figure of the match, making 29 points, while Pablo Crer stood out in blocking for the winners with 4 kill blocks. Bruno Romanutti scored 21 points for the visitors. Emmanuel Espinosa and Federico Martina made 4 kill blocks apiece.
