The Greek titleholders PAOK defeated Finnish side Sastamala in four sets, partially 22-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-20, and did their share when it comes to advancing to the Playoffs 12. Now, they need either a defeat of Chaumont VB 52 Haute Marne to PGE Skra Bełchatów or a defeat of Berlin Recycling Volleys to Jastrzębski Węgiel to go to the knockout stage as one of the two best third-placed teams, overall.

Rafail Koumentakis topped PAOK with 21 points (2 aces, 3 kill blocks), while Ioannis Takouridis made 5 kill blocks. Urpo Sivula scored 17 points for Sastamala.

The Russian side Lokomotiv Novosibirsk came back from two sets down against compatriots Dinamo Moscow to defend No.1 in Pool C, while Polish champs Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle did the same in Pool E as they swept Arkas İzmir from Turkey by a 3-0.
