Seesing Personeel Orion and Sneek took Dutch Men’s and Women’s Cup for the season 2016/2017, respectively.

In the final match in „Landstede Sportcentrum“ in Zwolle, Orion overpowered Draisma Dynamo 3-1, grabbing the trophy in the national Cup (Nationale Beker) for the first time since 2013. The grand finale was exciting as Orion made huge comeback both in Set 1 and Set 2, winning them 25-23 and 28-26 before Dynamo finally won a set of their own 25-19. The team coached by the Macedonian Goran Aleksov learned their lesson and did not allow rivals to level, 25-20.

Dutch Women’s champions Sneek took a revenge on Sliedrecht for the last year’s defeat in the Cup finals, 3-1 (30-28, 22-25, 25-13, 25-23). Thus, the ladies coached by Petra Groenland claimed the first trophy in the tournament after 2014.
