MONTENEGRIN CUP M: Budva after 15 years without trophy; Historic win of Jedinstvo

Jedinstvo Bemax BIJELO POLJE claimed Montenegrin men’s National cup after they beat hosts and pre-favourites Budvanska Rivijera BUDVA 3-1 (25-20, 16-25, 25-20, 27-25).

Jedinstvo won the Cup trophy for the first time in their club’s history. In this way they ended BUDVA’s domination in domestic competitions – which had spanned over 15 consecutive victories by combining the national league and national cup.

Budvanska Rivijera BUDVA had opened the programme of the weekend by rallying to a comprehensive 3-0 victory (25-17, 25-15, 25-14) in their semi-final with Volley Star – before Jedinstvo Bemax achieved a similar feat later in the evening beating Buducnost Capital Plaza PODGORICA in emphatic style too (3-0; 25-18, 25-23, 25-20).
