The experienced Russian setter Sergey Bagrey, who spent the last season in Belogorie Belgorod and was a one-time CEV Champions League winner with Zenit Kazan earlier, became the first major reinforcement of Omonia.
The French opposite Mory Sidibé, one-time CEV European Championship, and FIVB World League gold medalist followed Bagrey’s footsteps and arrived from the Turkish side MSK Urfa.
The third foreigner that came to Omonia was the Puerto Rican receiver, Pablo Guzmán. Last season, he played in his homeland with the Mets de Guaynabo with whom he won the national title.
