VK Jihostroj České Budějovice decided not to renew contracts with the Slovak setter Filip Palgut and Polish outside hitter Paweł Halaba, who struggled with the shoulder injury last season.

České Budějovice instantly found replacements for these two. Miguel Ángel De Amo, the Spaniard from Spacer’s Toulouse (France), came instead of Palgut, while Yani Georgiev, the Bulgarian from CSKA, came instead of Halaba.

In addition, the Slovak middle blocker Peter Ondrovič renewed with the club.
