Iran didn’t have any problems against Puerto Rico that were struggling in this game to organize some good attacks and to perform well in a blocking segment.
Only in the first set, Igor Kolakovic’s side allowed the rival to stay in the race, however, they controlled the situation on the court and that attack of Puerto Rico was rejected.
Mousavi (11), Ghafour (10) and Shafiei (10) were the players with double digits in Iran, while Maurice Torres had 10 on the other side.
Stephane Anitga’s were in the mood today against the Netherlands. The Dutch team has returned to the World Champs after 16 years but they won’t remember this game for a long time.
Simply, the Canadian team played at a high level, leaving no space for the rival to do anything to stop them. Nicolas Hoag (11 points) and Sharone Vernon Evans were the top scorers, while Nimir Abdel Aziz had 13 points.
