WCH 2018 M: Russia ruin the Dutch team’s plans…

by WoV

The Netherlands didn't manage to make another surprise at the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championship!

After beating Brazil and France in the first round, the Dutch team couldn’t make another surprise.

The Russian boys needed a victory to stay in the race for the Final Six! The next two games will be crucial for Russia, and if they win them all, they will probably claim the ticket for Torino.

Russia didn’t have any difficulties in this game, having won three sets very easily. Dmitry Volkov (15) and Dmitry Muserskiy (13) were the best scorer in Shlyapnikov’s side, while Thijs Ter Horst had 13 on the other side!

World Championship, a schedule for Friday (21 September):

Serbia – France 3-2 (22-25, 26-24, 25-20, 18-25, 18-16)

Poland – Argentina 19:40 CET

USA – Canada 3-1 (25-17, 25-14, 21-25, 25-17)
