In the most important match at the tournament, Russia scored a victory in straight sets (25-17, 25-19, 25-22) and with 6-2 moved to the third stage.
Victor Poletaev with 18 points led Russian team helped by Yury Berezhko 11 points while Samuli Kaislasalo scored 12 points for Finland.
In a match of no significance, Australia defeated Slovenia after five sets (23-25, 25-20, 19-25, 25-22, 15-11) and finished this year’s World Championship with a victory. Both teams will go home since that they finished on the third and fourth places of Pool F.
