WCH 2018 M: Poland took the last ticket for Turin

With the straight set victory over Serbia (25-17, 25-15, 25-14), Poland secured their spot at the Final Six of the FIVB World Championship 2018 and will have the opportunity to defend the title in Turin!

With the score of 6-2 in the wins and 19 points, Poland will go to Turin on the Third Stage of the competition and in that way sent France home. 

Bartosz Kurek was the top scorer of the match with 20 points followed by Artur Szalpuk who scored 15 points while in the Serbian team Marko Ivovic and Drazen Luburic scored 6 points each.

In the Final Six have qualified: Italy and Russia from Pool E, Brazil from Pool F, USA from Pool G and Poland and Serbia from Pool H. Teams will be divided into two Pools with three teams and the Drawing of lots will be on Monday, September 24.

Russia – Finland 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-22)

Italy – the Netherlands (21:15 CET)

Standings: Italy 6-1 (19), Russia 6-2 (18), Netherlands 5-2 (14), Finland 2-6 (6)

Slovenia – Australia 2-3 (25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 22-25, 11-15)

Belgium – Brazil (20:30 CET)

Standings: Brazil 6-1 (17), Belgium 4-3 (13), Slovenia 4-4 (13), Australia 3-5 (9)

Pool G

USA – Iran 3-0 (25-23, 26-24, 26-24)

Bulgaria – Canada (19:40 CET)

Standings: USA 8-0 (22), Bulgaria 4-3 (12), Iran 4-4 (12), Canada 4-3 (11)

Pool H

France – Argentina 3-1 (25-16, 25-20, 26-28, 25-19)

Poland – Serbia 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-14)

Standings: Poland 6-2 (19), Serbia 6-2 (17), France 5-3 (18), Argentina 3-5 (8)
