WCH 2018 W: Russia crushed Trinidad & Tobago in Pool C

Russia defeated Trinidad and Tobago in the Pool C opener at Kobe Green Arena after only three sets (25-21, 25-11, 25-12).


Russia were too powerful for T&T who played their first ever match at the World Championship. For them, that was a historic moment in which they fully enjoyed. 

Russian star Nataliya Goncharova was the top scorer of the match with 13 points followed by Irina Zaryazhko Koroleva who scored 9 points. On the other side, The left-hander Krystle Esdelle caused Russia problems with her swirling serve and some flashing cross-court winners, while libero Afesha Olton pulled off some stunning defense work.

Estela scored 9 points while Channon Thompson was the best in the team with 11 points.

Serbia – Dominican Republic 16:10 (09:10)

Kazakhstan – Kenya 19:20 (12:20)
