Mercy Sukuku Moim led her team to the first ever victory at the World Championship with 28 points but she had support from Edith Wisa Mukuvulani who scored 11 points. Sana Anarukulova led Kazakhstan in the defeat with 13 points.
Mercy Moim after the match was full of the positive vibes: “This means a lot. It is our first time to win at a World Championship. We believed in ourselves and our training. Our coaches prepared us well. We played like normal against Kazakhstan and did what we do in practice.”
