WCH 2018 W: Buijs, Sloetjes and Belien united forces to defeat Japan

The Netherlands played another match in the five sets at the FIVB World Championship and this time they also celebrated a big victory.

Today, the Netherlands outplayed Japan after more than two hours of the play. Both teams played with many ups and downs but the Dutch team finished the match as the winners (25-27, 25-16, 26-28, 25-19, 13-15).

Anne Buijs, Lonneke Sloetjes and Yvon Belien together scored 58 points (21, 20 and 17) and they brought a celebration fo their team.

On the host’s side, Ai Kurogo scored 25 points followed by Sarina Koga who finished the match with 23 points.

After this match, The Netherlands are on the top and only have two wins in Pool A.

Brazil – Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-22)

Kazakhstan – Puerto Rico 0-3 (21-25, 15-25, 22-25)

Kenya – Serbia 0-3 (16-25, 9-25, 8-25)
