USA

It was the most uncertain game so far and one of the best at the World Champs as well.

Nataliya Goncharova was the top scorer of the game with 36 points, while on the other side Kimberly Hill had 19, Jordan Larson and Foluke Akinradewo had 16 each, Murphy 14 points.

Russia started the match out very strong and pushed us on our heels. I really like the way that our team responded and had a great fighting spirit; even after a disappointing fourth set we came back strong in the fifth set,” says Karch Kiraly, the USA coach/

“We started very well but we could not continue with the same performance. We improved in the fourth set, especially our defense and our block. In the fifth set we were too far behind early on and could not catch up,” comments Vadim Pankov, head coach of Russia.
