In a repeat of the recent Asian Games final in Jakarta, China came home 28-26, 25-20, 25-23 to improve their tournament win-loss record to 5-1.
Zhu Ting scored 20 points to led China and got support from Xiangyu Gong who scored 18 points. On the defeating side, Onuma Sittirak scored 14 points followed by Wilavan Apinyapong 11 points.
Thai played without the injured Kokram Pimpichaya while Kongyot Ajcharaporn watched the match from the stands.
