CWCH 2018 M: Lube & Trentino score wins to avoid each other in the semifinals!

Lube Civitanova and Trentino Volley have scored the victories in the third round to take the top positions in their Pools of the FIVB Men's Club World Championship.

With these outcomes, Lube and Trentino won’t be playing against each other in the semifinals. Lube will meet Resovia, while Trentino will play against Fakel!

In the last match for Lube and Fakel, the Italian team easily prevailed over the Russian side 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 25-19). Osmany Juantorena led Lube with 14 points, while Yoandy Leal and Simon Robertlandy scored 11 points each.

A game in Pool B went well for Trentino. The Italian side defeated Asseco Resovia in straight sets to take the top position in Pool B, 26-24, 25-23, 25-20. 

Uros Kovacevic was the best scorer with 16 points, while Maarten Van Garderen added 14 points. Jakub Jarosz was the best scorer in Resovia with 15 point.

Fakel – Lube 0-3 (17-25, 18-25, 19-25)

PGE Skra Belchatow – Zenit Kazan 20:30 CET

Standings: Lube 3-0 (8 points), Fakel 2-1 (4 points), Zenit Kazan 0-2 (2 points), Skra 0-2 (1 points)


Resovia – Trentino 0-3 (24-26, 23-25, 20-25)

Ardakan – Sada Cruzeiro 20:30 CET

Standings: Trentino 3-0 (9 points), Resovia 2-1 (5 points), Sada Cruzeiro 0-2 (1 point), Ardakan 0-2 (0)
