VNL 2019 M: Russia destroy USA in straight sets, a huge comeback of Serbia against Australia

Russia have scored an easy victory in a match of the day 2, week 2, Volleyball Nations League.

Russia have outscored the USA in straight set on the home court in Ufa (25-22, 25-19, 25-15). Victor Poletaev was the most dominant player in the home team, finishing the game with 19 points.

Serbia have made a huge comeback against Australia, winning the game even though they were trailing by 2-0. Dusan Petkovic was the best scorer with 20 points, while Aleksandar Okolic contributed with 12 and Petar Krsmanovic with 11. 

In Australia, Luke Smith was the best scorer with 22 points.

After beating China in straight sets, France have stayed on the top of the standings. Laurent Tillie’s side has 5 wins out of 5 matches. Stephen Boyer was the best player of the game with 16 points.

Japan – Brazil 0-3 (22-25,  21-25, 19-25)

Pool 8 (Ottawa, Canada):

Serbia – Australia 3-2 (22-25, 14-25, 25-21, 25-21, 15-9)

Canada – Germany, June 9 at 1:10 C.E.T.
