Poland will play in the final of the 2021 Men’s VNL, making a debut in the title clash just like its rival in this match – Brazil.

Slovenia showed to be fatal to Poland in the last few years. Actually, out of the last five head-to-head encounters prior to the one today (CEV European Championships in 2015, 2017, and 2019, the Olympic qualifications for Tokyo, and the preliminary stage of ongoing VNL), Poland was a better side only once – in the Olympic qualifications.

Today, Bartosz Kurek showed high class, making 74 % effectiveness after the two first sets (15 points), finishing the match with the game-high 17 points. Fabian Drzyzga set up 4 blocks. Tine Urnaut tallied 13 points for Slovenia.

2021 FIVB Men’s Volleyball Nations League – semifinal:

Brazil – France 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-19)

Poland – Slovenia 3-0 (25-22, 25-21, 25-23)
