Perugia Retains World Title in FIVB Club World Championship

Sir Sicoma Perugia clinched the FIVB Volleyball Men’s Club World Championship title for the second consecutive year. The final, hosted in Bengaluru, India, saw the Italian team secure a flawless victory over Brazil’s Itambé Minas with a straight-set win (25-13, 25-21, 25-19). This triumph marks the 12th time an Italian club has won the championship in its 18 editions.

Perugia’s journey to the top was marked by an unbroken streak of wins, culminating in a dominant performance in the final. Key player Kamil Semeniuk led the scoring with 14 points, while Oleh Plotnytskyi added 13, earning him the MVP title.

Japan’s Suntory Sunbirds secured a historic third place, their first medal in the tournament, overcoming Türkiye’s Halkbank Spor Kulübü in a thrilling five-set match, 17-25, 23-25, 25-21, 25-19, 15-12).
