On June 26, at 18:00 local time (16:00 GMT), Łódź will host the Drawing of Lots for the Paris Olympics, live-streamed on Volleyball World’s YouTube channel. This event precedes the VNL Finals.
Teams Qualified for Paris 2024
- France: Automatically qualified as the host nation. They aim to defend their Tokyo 2020 title.
- Germany: Topped Pool A of the FIVB Road to Paris Qualifier. This will be their fifth Olympic appearance, the first since 2012.
- Brazil: Qualified by finishing second in Pool A of the FIVB Road to Paris Qualifier, marking their 16th consecutive Olympic participation. Brazil boasts three gold and three silver medals.
- USA: Finished first in Pool B of the FIVB Road to Paris Qualifier. They will make their 16th consecutive Olympic appearance.
- Japan: Qualified by finishing second in Pool B of the FIVB Road to Paris Qualifier. This will be their tenth Olympic appearance.
- Poland: Ranked first in Pool C of the FIVB Road to Paris Qualifier. They will make their 11th Olympic appearance.
- Canada: Earned their place by ranking second in Pool C of the FIVB Road to Paris Qualifier. This will be their third consecutive and sixth overall Olympic appearance.
- Argentina: Secured their spot by ranking among the top four in the FIVB World Ranking. They will make their ninth Olympic appearance, aiming to build on their bronze from Tokyo 2020.
- Italy: Among the top four in the FIVB World Ranking, Italy will make their 13th consecutive Olympic appearance.
- Slovenia: Making their Olympic debut, qualified by ranking among the top four in the FIVB World Ranking.
- Serbia: Secured one of the final spots as a top-four team in the FIVB World Ranking. They return after missing the last two Olympics.
- Egypt: Qualified as the highest-placed African team in the FIVB World Ranking. They will compete in their sixth Olympics.
The Paris 2024 Olympic volleyball tournament will run from July 27 to August 11 at the South Paris Arena.
