FIVB to Hold Presidential Election in November

In this busy volleyball year, following the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and the intriguing Presidential elections in CEV in August, there is also a presidential election in the FIVB, the global volleyball federation. The long-serving president, Dr. Ary S. Graça, will step down after his term ends, relinquishing this prestigious role.

FIVB Presidential Election

The FIVB confirms that, after the constitutional deadline of July 15, 2024, it has received a single candidature for the position of FIVB President. The candidate is Fabio Azevedo, the current FIVB General Director and Board of Administration member. Azevedo has passed the integrity check and his eligibility has been confirmed by the FIVB Advisory Electoral Committee. His candidature will now be submitted for formal election during the FIVB Congress meeting in Porto, Portugal, from November 15-17, 2024.

FIVB Board of Administration

The FIVB has closed the process of receiving candidatures for elected positions on the FIVB Board of Administration, with the deadline being May 15, 2024. The Confederations are currently holding their respective Congresses to select the candidates that will be submitted to the FIVB Congress in accordance with the FIVB Constitution.
