Brazil booked their place in the Volleyball Nations League 2025 semifinals with a dominant straight-sets win over Germany (25-19, 26-24, 25-14) on Thursday.
Led by standout performances from Rosamaria Montibeller and captain Gabi Guimarães, Brazil controlled the match from the start, sealing their 11th consecutive VNL victory. The South Americans will now face Japan on Saturday in a repeat of last year’s semifinal.
“We’ve done a great job so far, but we’re focused on improving even more,” said Rosamaria, who finished with 13 points.
Germany showed resilience throughout the tournament but couldn’t match Brazil’s pace. Top scorer Lina Alsmeier tallied 11 points before an injury forced her off the court.
This win marks Brazil’s sixth semifinal appearance in seven VNL editions as they continue their pursuit of a long-awaited first title.
