Poland and Germany continued their winning runs at the 2025 FIVB Women’s World Championship, sealing knockout-stage spots with confident victories in Pool G.
Poland overcame Kenya 3-1 (25-17, 15-25, 25-15, 25-14) despite dropping a surprising second set. Martyna Czyrniańska led the charge with 15 points, supported by Martyna Łukasik (14) and Malwina Smarzek (12). Kenya’s top scorer was Veronica Adhiambo with 18.
Earlier, Germany swept Vietnam 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-21). Captain Camilla Weitzel impressed with 15 points, while Hanna Orthmann (14) and Lina Alsmeier (13) added solid contributions. Vietnam’s captain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was their standout with 17.
The two European sides, both unbeaten, advanced to Round of 16 and will now face off for first place in Pool G.
