China overcame a spirited challenge from Colombia, dropping the second set but recovering strongly to win 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-14, 25-16). Outside hitter Zhuang Yushan led the charge with 17 points, while captain Gong Xiangyu added 15. Despite Colombia’s Ana Karina Olaya scoring a match-high 21 points, errors cost the South Americans, who were eliminated along with Mexico.

Earlier in the day, the Dominican Republic swept Mexico 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-20), with star Brayelin Martinez producing 22 points. The Caribbean side sits at the top of Pool F with two straight-set wins.

With six points each, China and the Dominican Republic have secured the pool’s two tickets to the knockout rounds, setting up a clash on Wednesday to decide first place. Meanwhile, Colombia and Mexico will battle for pride in their final pool match.
