Serbia celebrated a convincing 3–0 victory over Cameroon at the World Volleyball Championship, securing a spot in the Round of 16. Yet, the triumph has been overshadowed by the injury of their biggest star, Tijana Bošković.
In the second set, Bošković twisted her right ankle, forcing her to leave the court. Team doctor Dejan Aleksandrić confirmed the injury, explaining that initial treatment was provided immediately, but further medical examinations will take place in the morning.
“We’ll know more about the severity after additional diagnostics,” Aleksandrić told the Serbian Volleyball Federation.
Fans and teammates now anxiously await updates, hoping the world-class opposite hitter will recover in time to rejoin Serbia for the knockout stage of the tournament.
