The 25-year-old opposite dominated with 34 spike points at a 56% success rate, adding three blocks and two aces to top the match scoring chart. Supported by her sister and captain Anna Haak (17 points) and Maya Tabron (15), Sweden secured third place in their debut pool campaign.

“This win was really important. It’s the first in history, and we wrote it today,” Haak said after the match, calling it a proud moment for Swedish volleyball.

Despite strong showings from Egypt’s Nada Ahmed Houssameldein (18 points) and her teammates, they finished the tournament without a win.
