The U.S. Women’s National Volleyball Team booked their spot in the quarterfinals of the 2025 FIVB World Championship with a commanding 3-0 victory over Canada in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Americans showed their depth and dominance from start to finish, winning 25-18, 25-21, 25-21. Avery Skinner and Sarah Franklin led the scoring with 13 points each, while Madi Skinner added 12. Middle blocker Chiaka Ogbogu was also a standout with six kills, a block, and an ace.
Despite Canada’s spirited fight, the U.S. controlled the net, out-blocking their rivals 11-6 and capitalizing on 19 Canadian errors. Top scorer for Canada was Anna Smrek with 12 points scored 8 kills, 3 block points and 1 ace.
U.S. will face the winner of the Türkiye-Slovenia match for a place in the semifinals.
