Backed by a lively home crowd energized by Brazilian star Gabriela “Gabi” Guimarães, Conegliano eased to a 3–0 victory (25-14, 25-13, 25-19) in their first Pool B match.

Isabelle Haak led all scorers with 21 points. Zhu Ting finished with 13 points, while Gabi added 11 as the Italian champions began their pursuit of a fourth world title, aiming to draw level with Turkey’s VakıfBank Istanbul at the top of the all-time list. Orlando, competing in their first Club World Championship, were paced by captain Brittany Abercrombie, who recorded nine points.

Earlier in the day, Brazil’s Dentil Praia Clube swept Egypt’s Zamalek Sporting Club. Pool play continues Wednesday with Praia facing Orlando and Conegliano meeting Zamalek.
