Multiple Swiss champions Volero Zürich achieved their second win in the 2017 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Club World Championship.

Volero prevailed in Round 2 match in Pool B against Japanese side and also 2017 Asian champions NEC Red Rockets by 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 26-24).

Thus, the team coached by Serbian Zoran Terzić did not drop a single set so far and secured semifinal spot. The only question is will Volero go to the semis as first or second seed from Pool B. The last round game against Brazilian Vôlei Nestlé/Osasco will give the answer to this.

Cuban Kenia Carcaces and Ukrainian Olesia Rykhliuk highlighted Volero with 18 and 17 points, respectively. Sarina Koga scored 12 for the Red Rockets, who still have a theoretical chance to reach semifinals, but only if they beat Turkish Eczacıbaşı VitrA in straight sets in the last round.
