Vakifbank-Eczacibasi
For the third time in the club history, Vakifbank will play for the gold medal. In the previous edition team of Giovanni Guidetti took the bronze medal when in the semifinals in Manila they suffered defeat from Eczacibsi who after won the gold.
Today, Vakifbank showed that this time they don’t want make the same mistake. They have revenged with the same result.
Like always and this time also, Zhu Ting (18) and Tijana Bošković (20) led a battle on the net. Zhu’s team-mates Lonneke Sloetjes and Kimberly Hill added 16 and 15 points.
Last time Vakifbank played the finals in 2013 in Zurich when they took the gold medal while 2011 they lost from Rabita BAKU.
