WL 2017: Belgium surprised Italy; Poland too strong for Iran

Two more matches are finished in World League Group 1.

In Lodz Poland have crushed Iran in three sets (25-17, 25-18, 25-22) and scored their fourth victory.

Again in front of 8000 spectators they celebrated big victory and this time captain Michal Kubiak was on the high level. He scored 15 points followed by Dawid Konarski 12 points.

On the Iranian side Milad Ebadipour and Farhad Ghaemi scored 8 points each. This was their second defeat in the row and they are still on the 10th place.

After victory over France in Antwerp, Italy today played under all expectations. They suffered defeat from Belgium 1-3 (22-25, 24-26, 27-25, 16-25) who again dominated with their good mood.

Bram Van Den Dries was the leader of the Tigers with 20 points while Italy’s Lucca Vettori also enjoyed an excellent performance putting 22 points on the board.
