WL 2017: Reprise of the Final 2006 – Brazil vs. France

The French team, who won the gold medal 2015 in Rio De Janeiro, will compete in their third Finals of the FIVB World League.

In the history of this competition, the French National volleyball team has one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal. 

Tomorrow at 23:05 by the local time or 02:05 GMT or 04:05 CET, they will meet Brazil, with whom they played their first ever finals of World League 2006 in Moscow. In that match, Brazil won 3-2.

Tonight, in the second semifinals France defeated Canada 3-1 (25-19, 22-25, 25-19,25-21) and in the big Final they will meet Brazil, the team with the largest number of the gold medals (9).

On the other side, Canada will clash with the USA for the bronze.

Earvin Ngapeth was the top scorer of the match with 24 points for the winning team followed by Stephen Boyer 16 points. Canadian John Gordon Perrin scored 15 points while Sharone Vernon-Evans 14 points.

Last point in the match – Canadian opposite Vernon missed the service and Team France wins the set 25-21 for 3-1.
