The team of coach Zoran Terzic outplayed hosts Japan 3-0 (25-21, 25-20, 25-20) and the captain Milena Rašić was the leader. She scored 18 points (13 att and 5 bl) while Brankica Mihajlović followed her with 14 points together with Stefana Veljković who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Japan had fewer errors, giving away only 14 points to the opponent in comparison to 21 received from hands of the Serbian team. Sarina Koga was the best scorer on her side of the net with 15 points.
