Tonight, the team of coach Davide Mazzanti will have a flight for China but before that, the technical staff will have to select 14 players who will represent Italy in Nanjing. Now they have a list of 16 players:
Ofelia Malinov, Alessia Orro (setters); Sara Bonifacio, Cristina Chirichella, Anna Danesi, Raphaela Folie (blockers); Caterina Bosetti, Lucia Bosetti, Anastasia Guerra, Sara Loda, Miriam Sylla, Valentina Tirozzi (receivers), Paola Egonu, Indre Sorokaite (opposites); Monica De Gennaro, Beatrice Parrocchiale (liberos).
For Italy, this will be theirs 12th time to appear at the Final round of this competition and until now they won two silvers and four bronzes.
In Nanjing, Italy will rest on the first day of the tournament and then on August 3rd, they will play against the USA while on August 4th will face Serbia.
