VNL W: Yellow Tigers outplayed Dominican girls, the first win for Thailand

Belgium scored the second win in Pool 2 while Thailand finally celebrated the first win in Pool 1 in the Week 1 of the inaugural women's FIVB Volleyball Nations League.

Belgium Britt Herbots led her team to the 3-2 (25-16, 18-25, 25-18, 19-25, 15-7) victory over the Dominican Republic on the third day of the VNL.

Britt Herbots scored 28 points while Brayelin Elizabeth Martinez and Jeoselyna Rodriguez Santos scored 15 points for the Dominican girls.

On the other side, Thailand scored the first victory in the new FIVB’s competition. In the last match of Week 1, they outplayed Argentina in straight sets (25-17, 25-17, 25-16). Ajcharaporn Kongyot was the best scorer of the match with 13 points while Julieta Constanza Lazcano Colodrero wast the best in a defeated team with 9 points.

Las Panteras finished Week 1 on the bottom with 3 defeats same like the Dominican Republic who on the other hand have 2 points.
