Today Korea scored the 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-13) victory over China and Kim Yeon-Koung and Jae-Yeong Lee both scored 16 points. For China, Xinyue Yuan finished the match as the best scorer of the team with 12 points.

In this Asian derby Korea literally crushed China who decided to play this tournament with the mixed team.

The Koreans toppled their great Asian rivals for the first time since 2010.

Olympic champions finished Week 1 with 2-1 and 6 points while Korea scored a same number of wins but have 5 points.

When you think China will outplay Korea 3 sets to nil, Korea stun them with great serve and quality defense. I was hoping more from the Chinese reception and out of system attacks.

Its similar with Japan, they played so well and 2 losses so far. Otherwise, China is in main draw anyway (Pool A), even if they lost.
