Alexandre Ferreira notched 13 points for the hosts while Miguel Gutiérrez delivered 21 points (3 kill blocks, 2 aces) for Cuba. Thus, Portugal kept a perfect record in the tournament when it comes to both win-loss ratio (3-0) and set ratio (9-0).
The Czech Republic downed 2018 CEV European Golden League titleholders Estonia by a 3-1 (29-31, 27-25, 25-18, 25-21) to join Portugal in the gold medal match.
Jan Hadrava was on fire as he poured in 27 points for the Czechs. Vladimír Sobotka and Adam Zajíček added 5 kill blocks apiece. Robert Täht scored 22 points for Estonia.
