In the end, the home spectators can be satisfied with the success of their girls. China won the bronze medal in the inaugural FIVB Volleyball Nations league by beating Brazil in the match for the third place.

Captain Zhu Ting with 20 points led the team against Brazil who didn’t have a solution for the fantastic play of the hosts (25-18, 25-22, 25-22). The home fans were quite obviously delighted also with the showing of 18-year-old rising star Yingying Li who scored 14 points.

The Brazilians worked hard but it seemed like one match too many after an arduous VNL campaign where they have delighted fans across the globe with their attacking flair. Tandara Alves Caixeta led the team with 15 points followed by Gabriela Braga Guimaraes who added 11 points and middle blocker Adenizia Da Silva who added 9 points.
