After losing to Le Cannet by a 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-18) in Round 13 of the 2019/20 Ligue A Féminine regular season, Nantes lost the vice leader’s position in the standings. Thanks to 17 points from Russian Anna Lazareva and 7 kill blocks from Azerbaijani Olena Hasanova, Le Cannet broke rival’s eight-game winning streak. American Lindsey Vander Weide scored 11 points for Nantes.
By beating Chamalières with 3-1 on the road, the champions Cannes overtook second place from Nantes, having 10-3 and 31 points.
Following the five-set victory against Terville Florange (from 0-2 to 3-2), their fourth in a row, Béziers leveled with Nantes in the charts with both having 30 points but with Nantes having a better win-loss ratio, which put them ahead of Béziers.
The leaders Mulhouse put an end to a seven-game victorious run of Pays d’Aix Venelles.
