The record winners of the French Women’s Volleyball Championship with 21 titles, RC Cannes, will have a hard time filling all gaps in the roster for the next season.
The financial crisis is definitely shaking the most titled Ligue A Féminine club, Cannes. Following the revelation of misdemeanors in this regard at the beginning of the year, to which the French Volleyball League organization (LNV) turned a blind eye, the team from the Riviera somehow concluded the last season, playing the national Cup final and playoff semi-final.
However, practically the same moment the season ended, Cannes decided to part ways with as many as 9 players from the 2021/22 roster: American trio Carly DeHoog (OPP), Micaya White (OH), and Jaali Winters (OH), Lucile Le Thuc (S), Pole Marta Matejko (OH), Brazilian Ana Tiemi Takagui (S), Italian Tiziana Veglia (MB), Belarusian Yuliya Miniuk (MB), and Annaïg Boisard (L).
