Le Cannet vs. RC Cannes
Did you know that Le Cannet had 14 consecutive defeats against RC Cannes before this clash, counting all competitions! The last time they managed to beat the neighbors was on February 13, 2010! But, it was worth waiting for 5 years…
“It’s more than just a victory. This was a historic game for the club, for the French volleyball and for all players. Everyone dreams of beating Cannes, and we did it! We are so happy and so proud” said Myriam Kloster, middle blocker of Le Cannet.
RC Cannes have won 18 of the last 20 French Cups… They lost the first one in 2002 against Villebon, and this one in 2015 against Le Cannet.
