Second placed JTEKT Stings was fatal to the leader in the derby of Round 5, beating it by 3 sets to 1, as guests. It was 19-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-19.
Hiroaki Asano had 25 while Fernando Hernández scored 23 for Stings. Yusei Yasui collected 15 in Thunders who secured pole position for the playoffs in the previous round.
Panasonic Panthers are nailed to the bottom of the table with all five losses and remained the only club with this effect in Last 6 phase.
Panthers lost to Toyoda Gosei Trefuerza by 3-1 although it won the first set – 25-22, 20-25, 23-25, 20-25.
Igor Omrčen collected 21 for Trefuerza (its third victory in a row) while Takuya Takamatsu added 13.
Kunihiro Shimizu noted 18 and Tatsuya Fukuzawa 16 points for Panthers.
