The runners-up Allianz MTV Stuttgart lost two out of the last three games in the 1. Bundesliga Frauen 2018/19 regular season which ended two days ago with Round 22. But luckily for them, the defeat which they suffered to SC Potsdam in the last round and to titleholders SSC Palmberg Schwerin two rounds ago, both in the tie-break, did not cause any damage to Stuttgart regarding their top seed status.

In a direct duel for No.6 in the last round, the Ladies in Black Aachen beat USC Münster in straight sets.
