WWK Volleys Herrsching achieved a historical win in Round 9 of the 2019/20 German Men’s Volleyball Championship regular season.

WWK Volleys Herrsching wrote down an important piece of the club history on Saturday. The team coached by Max Hauser beat the record 1. Bundesliga Männer champions VfB Friedrichshafen (13 titles) by a 3-2 (18-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-16, 15- 8). It was their first win over this rival since the team stepped into the top division in 2014. American opposite hitter Jalen Penrose was the most deserving player for a success with 21 points. North Macedonian Nikola Gjorgiev tallied 31 points (5 aces) for Friedrichshafen, who suffered their first defeat in the season after eight wins.

Led by the U.S. National Team member Benjamin Patch (18 points), Berlin Recycling Volleys swept Volleyball Bisons Bühl to remain the only unbeaten side (10-0).
