GERMAN CUP M: Berlin win first trophy in new decade

Berlin Recycling Volleys are the new winners of the 2019/20 German Men’s Volleyball Cup.

Berlin Recycling Volleys clinched the DVV-Pokal Männer for the fifth time. The reigning German champions and Super Cup winners also secured the first title of the new decade in an impressive manner, by sweeping SWD powervolleys Düren in the final that was held in front of 10,689 spectators at the SAP Arena in Mannheim: 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-22).

Berlin were led by American Benjamin Patch (13 points), Frenchman Samuele Tuia (82% attack, 9/11), and Moritz Reichert (79% reception, 14 digs, 21% perfect). Chilean Sebastián Gevert scored 12 points for Powervolleys.
