Competitions in the 1st Bundesliga started this week. This season, only nine teams are competing after the team of Volleyball Bisons Buhl withdrew from the 1st Bundesliga due to the current situation regarding the COVID 19 pandemic and withdrawal and inability of the club sponsors to continue to participate in the work and development of the club.
The most interesting matches were played between Energiequelle Netzhoppers KW-Bestensee and United Volleys Frankfurt and between SWD powervolleys Düren and WWK Volleys Herrsching. Both finished after a 5-set fight and victories by United Volleys Frankfurt and SWD powervolleys Düren.
