SSC Palmberg Schwerin and SC Potsdam will play the grand final of the DVV Cup at the SAP Arena Mannheim on February 26, 2023.
Both semifinal matches of the DVV Cup were played tonight.
In the first semifinal match Allianz MTV Stuttgart and SSC Palmberg Schwerin played an interesting match in front of 2000 fans at SCHARRena Stuttgart. After a great fight in 5 sets, SSC Palmberg Schwerin won 3-2 (18-25, 25-20, 18-25, 27-25, 15-8) and qualified for the finals. The match was practically decided in the 4th set when the guests overturned 1-2 in the sets and 11-16 (16-20) in the fourth set for the final 27-25. The fifth set was dominated by the Schwerin players, who brought the match to an end with a controlled game and celebrated 15-8. SSC Palmberg Schwerin player Lindsey Ruddins was the top scorer of the game with 28 points. Simone Lee was the most effective for the Allianz MTV Stuttgart with 20 points.
In the second match played at Arena Kreis Düren, Ladies in Black Aachen and SC Potsdam played their match in three sets. SC Potsdam defeated Ladies in Black Aachen 3-0 ( 25-21, 30-28, 25-23) and advanced to the DVV Cup final.
