Strong Start for Schwerin
Schwerin came out firing, quickly taking an 8-1 lead with captain Anne Hölzig leading the charge. Potsdam, missing key player Eleanor Holthaus, struggled offensively and made costly errors. Despite a brief comeback to 10-8, Schwerin regained control, with Elles Dambrink and Hannah Kohn putting pressure on the hosts. The visitors comfortably took the first set 25:15.
Potsdam Fights Back, but Schwerin Stays Ahead
The second set was evenly matched early on, with both teams level at 10-10. Potsdam showed resilience, taking a 9-7 lead. However, Schwerin’s strong serves turned the tide, allowing them to pull away and close the set 25:20.
Thrilling Finish in Set Three
Schwerin carried their momentum into the third set, surging ahead 4-1 and later extending their lead to 14-7. Potsdam mounted a late comeback, leveling at 20-20 after a powerful serve run. But Schwerin kept their composure, sealing the match with a decisive 25:23 finish.
Elles Dambrink led the match with 20 points, while Anne Hölzig contributed 13 for Schwerin. For Potsdam, Danielle Harbin was the top scorer with 11 points, followed closely by Sabrina Michelle Starks with 10.
