Defending champions Allianz MTV Stuttgart delivered a commanding performance in the first playoff semifinal, sweeping the Dresdner SC 3-0 (25:21, 25:19, 25:19) in front of 2,251 fans at a sold-out Scharrena.

Led by powerhouse Krystal Rivers, who racked up 21 points and earned the MVP title, Stuttgart showcased their trademark precision and depth. From the outset, their aggressive attack and tactical discipline kept Dresden on the back foot. Maria Segura and libero Roosa Koskelo added to the hosts’ momentum, consistently turning defense into offense during long rallies.
Despite a brave showing from Dresden, who were missing captain and setter Sarah Straube due to injury, the visitors couldn’t match Stuttgart’s consistency and quality. Dresden’s 14-point top scorer Lorena Lorber Fijok it wasn’t enough to shift the match’s tone.
The turning points came in each set’s late stages, where Stuttgart’s experience and sharp execution sealed the deal. Head coach Konstantin Bitter’s team now leads the best-of-three series and needs just one more win to advance to the finals.
